First it started (at least for me) with Facebook, then my friends got me to join Myspace, and now Twitter. These social networks do make it easy to connect with others whom you may not get to interact with on a regular basis and help one to “keep in touch” with old friends, new acquaintances, etc. However, what happened to actually calling a person, going out and meeting new people and just being social without being on the computer?! It seems old fashioned now to even send emails with all of the new technology and sites that have taken over dealing with communication. Now don’t get me wrong I enjoy the benefits of some of these sites but I’d rather actually be with the person I am talking too instead of only seeing their default pics on my twitter timeline…hmmm. Remember when one could only get in contact with a person through a letter or a phone call and you would have to wait to see them…but those days are a thing of the past. Are you addicted to the internet, or just love networking? Maybe a better question would be what would you do without that iphone or blackberry, facebook apps, and updating your twitter? It is kind of crazy when you think about how dependent some of us are to these things.
